MMPCIA is teaming up with Maritza Owens and Harvest Homes to provide a weekly Farmer's Market at Marcus Garvey Park North, 124th Street & Fifth Avenue.

Maritza started her company in 1993 out of the need to increase access to farm fresh produce in under-serviced neighborhoods.


One of her founding principles was that
all members of our society, no matter what their socio-economic status, should have access to good quality produce.

The open air markets established by Harvest Home meet three major goals:

1) Increased access to fresh, good quality, affordable and locally grown produce,

2) Encourage cultural activities and information exchange, and

3) Provide part-time employment and micro-enterprise business opportunities for neighborhood residents and youth.


MMPCIA is pleased to be involved in this exciting new addition to our neighborhood. Please stop by, shop and support the effort!
