Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, of the New York Public Library, is a national research library devoted to collecting, preserving and providing access to resources documenting the history and experiences of peoples of African descent throughout the world.

Hours
The General Reference & Research Division is open Tuesday and Wednesday from Noon to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from Noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Please see the Center's website for hours of other divisions and holiday schedules.
