We’re pleased to present The Good Laugh, a solo exhibition by David Obi, opening Friday, November 14, 6–8 PM at Heath Gallery.

David Obi (b. 1980) is a Nigerian-Norwegian contemporary artist whose paintings are informed by his multicultural background. He studied art at Yaba College of Art and Technology in Lagos, Nigeria, before moving to Sweden, and later to Norway and the UK, where he now maintains studios.

Working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, ink, and gouache, David has exhibited in solo and group shows across Europe and the United States, including galleries in Oslo, Gothenburg, New Jersey, and California. His work is held in public and private collections in Norway, Sweden, the UK, Nigeria, and the U.S.

In The Good Laugh, David continues his exploration of human emotion through the lens of laughter — capturing moments of humor and connection that reveal both vulnerability and joy.
