This winter, El Barrio Bikes and East Harlem Walks are teaming up to offer a special series of Hot Chocolate Tours. Participants can choose to roll out on a bike or strap on their sneakers for a cozy neighborhood adventure.
From rich hot chocolates to buttermilk pancake lattes, Dubai mochas, and more, each tour stops at cafés and small businesses across the neighborhood. At every stop, owners will share the stories behind their shops and highlight seasonal drinks featured on their menus.
Dates & Modalities
Each tour takes place on a Sunday afternoon. When registering, participants can choose their preferred modality:
- Sunday, December 14 – Long Bike Ride
- Sunday, December 21 – Short Bike Ride
(The December 7 walking tour has passed.)
Bikes, Helmets & Accessibility
No bike? No problem. Thanks to support from Citi Bike, the NYC Department of Transportation and the NYC Department of Health, bikes and helmets can be provided for riders who need them.
After registering, participants will receive an email with:
- Full tour details and meeting point
- A short form to request a bike and helmet (if needed)
- Tips for getting ready to walk or ride comfortably in winter weather
