Calling All Artists! The Harlem Arts Festival is now accepting applications for 2014 Artists of all disciplines from, living in, or creating work relevant to the Harlem community are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in presenting artists that have a strong connection to the neighborhood, and are looking to expand their audience through community engaged practice and public performance.
The Harlem Arts Festival is an annual multi-disciplinary arts festival taking place in Marcus Garvey Park on June 28-29th. More information and the full application process can be found online at www.harlemartsfestival.com/apply-now
Last year, more than 4,000 people attended the Harlem Arts Festival. In the past two years, the festival has showcased over 75 visual and performing artists for the Harlem community at the festival, the HAF sessions, and ongoing events throughout the year.

Representatives of the Harlem Arts Festival will be at Centro Civico Cultural Dominicano- 619 West 145th St. on Friday, January 3rd, from 6-8pm to hold a workshop for artists interested in applying to the festival. They will give a short presentation about the festival and the application process, answer questions, and bring computers to assist individuals with filling out their applications in person.
