SoHarlem’s products are designed and crafted right in our Designers' Studio. As a collective of highly skilled artisans, we specialize in creating unique garments, accessories, and custom tailoring—including our signature Made to Measure and ReCouture garment reconstruction services. Beyond design, SoHarlem offers individualized sewing classes and creative studio space rentals.
SoHarlem is a place-based social enterprise that connects people with cultural industry opportunities that help them achieve economic self-sufficiency. To do this, we incubate creative entrepreneurs, and we train the workforce needed to sustain them.
SoHarlem envisions a vibrant Harlem where creative expression is a pathway to economic mobility, and every resident has a stake in the cultural economy shaping their community. We see a neighborhood where local talent thrives, creative entrepreneurs build sustainable enterprises, and economic opportunity is deeply rooted in dignity, artistry, and community pride.
