Join us for an exclusive, intimate screening of Marcel’s Promise! A short film about the legendary but forgotten boxing champion and former Harlem resident. Based on true events, the story takes a creative turn and links Brown's life with fellow Harlemnites Piri Thomas and singer Connie Converse and a promise that might change the fortunes of all three. Written by Brown's biographer, Jose Corpas, there will be a live Q & A after the screening with the cast which includes former boxing champ Junior JOnes, who played Panama Al Brown.
